A PERFECT MOMENT

She rested her head on his back as the wind blew through her hair. Though she did not usually like cold weather, she was accepting the wind now as it sent chills down her spine. She was loving every minute of being at theĀ  back of his bike. She couldn’t think of any other activity that would make her feel as close to him as what they were doing then.

She wrapped her hands around his waist even tighter than before, pulling her body closer to his. The roads were empty now. The night stretched out for them to explore hidden roads that were rarely conquered.

She lightly kissed the back of his neck. He didn’t turn around of course, for he had to concentrate on the road. But at that moment, even though they were on a highway, he rode to the side, slowed down and came to a stop. He came off the bike and looked at her intently before placing a light kiss on her lips while whispering the words ‘I love you’. He got back on the bike and as he started to ride off once again, she wrapped her arms around his waist, whispering into his ears, ” I love you too.”
