P.S I love you has many, many wonderful love songs, but this one song, I can’t help but repeat it probably close to a million times. It’s the type of song that makes me stop everything I am doing and just spend all my attention soaking up the meaning behind the words. I cannot stop myself from imagining what kind of girl actually inspired these simple, deep lyrics.

It’s not just the way the lyrics are written that blows my mind. It’s the way Ryan Star sings. The way his voice emphasises the parts of the lyrics that really mean something. Parts where he nearly screams and the parts where he brings himself back.

In just a short among of time, this song gives me an image of two young maybe teenagers, struggling to prove to the world that what they have is real despite disapproval from many people from all sides. It just gives me an image of love that is appreciated so much because of the kind of struggle that the couple has to go through. And then what happens after all that struggle is that the girl actually starts to lose hope in it, or starts to lose some of her faith in the boy she loves, so she moves away from him a little and becomes distant. The boy cannot stand this happening so he writes her this amazing song in hopes that it shows her that he’s there no matter what.

It’s the kind of song that melts me, gives me goose bumps. It is the kind of song that will touch me in many ways if it was dedicated to me or even if someone actually feels this way about me.
