YOU CAN SIT BESIDE ME WHEN THE WORLD COMES DOWN – Jim Vs Nilofer
You can sit beside me when the world comes down. Never breathe alone, we’ll never breathe alone. Take my hand, whisper words in my ear, words filled with hope and dreams. I’ll lead you to wherever we need to get to, I’ll promise to not let go. We’ll talk for hours in trains, plans and buses. We’ll pause for silence, as places and faces flicker past, thinking of just what to say next. I’ll still hold your hand so that you know I’m around. While I keep our hearts focused, together, on the winding road ahead. I hope that you’ll rest your head on my shoulder like you always do. This moment sneaks past us, creeping up and away, to the sound of these gravel roads, away into the stars. I look at you and smile, you rest your head on my shoulder, just like I wanted you to. This night will last forever, the sky screams out with fiery hope above our lonely figures.
